mmmm...girl
scout cookies!
Girl
Scout cookies have been a long-time American tradition since
the early 1920s. In fact, Girl Scout Cookies were once baked
at Claussens Bakery (now Claussens Inn) in downtown
Columbia. Through cookie sales, girls learn and practice important
skills for raising money while achieving special goals for their
troops. The cookie program also provides Girl Scouts with a
fun and positive experience that further develops character
and skills. See the 2007 Cookie Calendar for the lowdown.
From
all-time favorites like Thin Mints,
Caramel DeLites, Shortbreads,
Peanut Butter Patties and Peanut
Butter Sandwiches, to the increasingly popular Thanks-A-Lots and Reduced Fat Cartwheels and the brand new for 2007 Lemonades (enjoy a slice of summer all year long!),
Girl Scout cookies offer a variety of flavors to satisfy any
cookie enthusiast. For only $3.50 per box, you can enjoy the
sugary treats that youve come to love over the years.
They're great alone, but did you know that Girl Scout cookies can be used to make delicious desserts?
