Summertime
is an exciting time of year, and for many Girl Scouts, what
better way to spend those sun-filled days than with lots of
warm adventures during a summer at Camp Congaree. Also known
as the Congaree Program Center, Camp Congaree is a 750-acre
facility nestled in the beautifully secluded woodlands of Lexington
County.
During
the summer and all year long, girls and volunteers can enjoy
a variety of activities at the Program Center with facilities
that meet all pertinent state and local guidelines. Camp facilities
include: an amphitheater, Friendship Lake (for canoeing, swimming
and fishing), a ropes challenge course, an arts and crafts building,
an equestrian area, a dining hall, an infirmary, an athletic
field and several hiking trails.
Camp registration has begun! We're offering more opportunities than ever this year! Click the following links to get more information about A Summer of Adventure!
Living accommodations include a lodge, a cottage, bunkhouse
units and platform tents. All units are equipped with bathhouses
that include toilets and warm running water. Download registration form here.
