Adult
volunteers are a major component of the Girl Scout Movement.
Their commitment and dedication to inspiring girls is invaluable
and greatly supports our ability to successfully serve our girl
membership. For these reasons, it is important that we recognize
and express our appreciation for the selfless contributions
of our volunteers.
When
recognizing a volunteer, be sure to select the appropriate award.
Award presentations should be made while the volunteer is actively
involved in Girl Scouting and should never be a parting gift.
Each Service Unit's Recognition Chair should ensure that all
persons deserving an award are recognized in an appropriate
and timely manner.
