volunteer selection & placement

In Girl Scouting, it is important that we provide girls with a fun and safe environment where they can build skills for success. We place only the very best adults in positions to work with girls. The Girl Scout Council of the Congaree Area, Inc. follows a formal Volunteer Management Policies & Procedures process to ensure the selection and placement of qualified adults.

The following are components of Volunteer Management Policies & Procedures:

Volunteer Placement

Policy:   Every attempt will be made to place operational volunteers in positions that meet both their needs and the needs of the Girl Scout Council of the Congaree Area, Inc.

Policy: Appointment to a volunteer position is contingent upon completion and review of a volunteer application, sexual offender registry check, criminal background check and references.
